The Zoning Committee needs volunteers!
The KSNAC needs neighbors who can help distribute flyers occaisionally for our very active zoning committee. Each month, the KSNAC holds Community Zoning Meetings to review new projects planned all around the neighborhood. Neighbors who live within a two block radius are eligible to vote on projects. If you can help distribute flyers, please fill out the information below. We ask volunteers to hand out flyers on about 2 to 4 blocks.
If you can help distribute flyers, please click here to let us know how you can help.
KSNAC Community Zoning Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month. Meetings begin at 6:30. Community Zoning Meetings are an opportunity for residents to view plans for proposed developments which require a zoning variance ( a change in zoning classification). Plans can range from the addition of a third story to the construction of new housing or commercial buildings. Most cases require two meetings: the first will be an information only meeting and will be followed by a voting meeting the next month, allowing feedback from residents and the KSNAC Design Review Committee to be incorporated into the plan prior to the vote. Residents who live within a two block radius of a project are eligible to vote. All KSNAC Zoning Committee records are on file at the office. This includes fliers, schedules, plans, maps, minutes from meetings and vote tallies. If you have any questions regarding a site or anything else regarding zoning in your neighborhood, call the NAC and we will be happy to find answers to your questions. All those interested in volunteering for the Zoning Committee, contact the NAC to find out more.
